Let it drain and degas, sanded and laied it on the side.

Fun story it was laying on its side drying and the neighbor girl knocked on my door to tell me the motorcycle is taking a nap.

Scored a nice tank off marketplace so decided to patch this one up and keep riding.

Eastwood makes a good tank sealer, looks like melted vanilla ice cream but works well.  Then the patch can be smoothed without fear of leaks.

I almost went that route, but got a nicer tank and this was in my tool box.

Just over 1200 miles on it, rode it today and got caught in the rain.

So clutch slipped quite badly at over half throttle. So tried adjusting clutch and giving it some heat with no avail. Ordered friction disk and side cover gasket and had some new springs in my pile. Soaked the new disk and tore in.

Needless to say that clutch was cooked. Soft clutch springs, worn out friction disk and rusty steel's.

New springs

new friction disk in basket

Cleaned the steels with a wire wheel and brake cleaned and reassemble with new parts.

Test rode and new clutch doesn't think of slipping and clutch lever feels much smoother
