I think it's interesting to hear their side of the story. Sounds like they were wrongfully arrested. Shame on the cops.
Biased or not it kinda proved that the guys were arrested on shaky ground.
Street racing aint great, but neither is false imprisonment.
Why was their side of the story removed? I would like to have read it. I know I tried logging into their forum a few months back to look up some info that was found out about aero work done on the "brokecore" Miata. Jerry did a good job documenting the work that went into that car. Being kind of local, I ended up with some of the parts sold from that car and he ended up some of my spare parts for suspension testing.
End of it is this; they were car guys enjoying our hobby. We don't have to agree with it, or how they went about enjoying their cars, but that's the joy of our country. Agree or not, there were some legitimate builds done by these guys. There was an FD Rx7 that went through their for sale section that if I could have swung the asking price I would have jumped on it. Sorry to see that information go away.
In reply to Spinout007:
It seems that the link was deliberately removed by the poster. FWIW, it had little/nothing to do with street racing.
I missed the update too. Anyone recall what publication it was from? I don't recall any update in the local paper.
You didn't miss anything. I made it halfway through before I couldn't take anymore. It was so biased it made Rachael Madcow look .... well.... good.
LoL @ bumping a 4yo thread with a rebuttle then deleting it. Sounds like they came here just to be a whiny Bob Costas that they got caught and guys like 1320video didn't....

That's the unbiased website it was posted on.
LoL, they're obviously less biased than CNN/Fox/MSNBC/etc.......oh wait, they're not.
My message to these morons, you want to profit from illegal activity? Then accept the fact there are repercussions that come with it. I have absolutely zero sympathy for them.
FYI: A moderator or admin banned and deleted the IMVFilms replies (both old and new), despite none of the content being rude, defamatory, or spam. That individual should speak up. Recently, 2 links were posted: the PINAC article re-posted above (which contains a mainstream TV20 news clip), and a direct link to the Federal Lawsuit filed in Northern District of Florida. Some people here don't understand the level of time, patience, effort, and knowledge that goes into a Civil Rights case, but that's what it is now - a serious Federal Court jurisdictional matter. Although free speech and the 1st Amendment do not exactly apply to private forums like GRM (this thread is clear evidence of that), it most certainly does apply to Government Agents who enforce prior restraint and content-based suppression.
Hi BlackCar, Sorry that your profile seems to have been thrown in the trash. Like I said in the email this morning, I'm trying to track down who did it and why.
You'll need to log in to post.
