Today I heard a radio commercial for Jeep that ended with, "but hurry, just like the Aurora Borealis it only comes around once a year".
Northern lights happen all year long, right??????
Are the folks at FCA's ad agency stupid or am I?????

Without even looking at it, I'd say it is the JEEP equivalent of lying in order to convince people that what you're claiming is true. It works on well on way too many folks.
Hi EvanB,
I think 1988Red T2 is suggesting that it's the Americans that are stupid by providing the clip of the ACA architect bragging about how he exploited the stupidity of American voters to get the ACA bill passed.
The aurora borealis occurs year round at both polls and its intensity varies as a function of solar activity, not season, so the commercial is a fail at that level. However, since viewing is much better at night and there will only be few, if any, hours of darkness near the polls during certain times of the year, there are preferred viewing seasons.
Bottom line, the commercial is mostly fail but a skillful BS artist could possibly defend it.
I think 1988RedT2 meant to post something else.
The aurora is a weather and atmospheric anomaly. FCA's ad agency are stupid.
