I said hell would freeze over before I ever bought another Buck Regal (the 1988 model being on of the worst cars ever produced, the Russians laugh at it's quality and reliability). But the new wagon may get me to change my mind.

Think the 2.0T manual will be offered? I like it, though.

It looks like they stole the front end from Mazda. I'd like to see Chevy bring over some version of the Cruze Wagon.

It's a looker, that's for sure. The reports I read say that it's only coming over in some bastardized version meant to compete with the Audi Allroad and Subaru Outback, though. And if that's true, expect no manuals to be offered.

I'll assume thats an Opel of some sort? It would be nice to see in the US, but remember, the USA hates wagons unless they are jacked up on tall springs with lots of ugly body cladding. (ie SUV)

Someone buy a red one and baby it so I can pick it up in a couple years when something totals my Verano.

I spent a few moments trying to figure out what a Mazda6 wagon had to do with a Buick.

I have no idea if the Mazda6 wagon actually exists or not.

Yeah, Opel Astra wagon. Wich means we'll more than likely see it sold in Australia as a Holden Astra wagon

Mazda 6 wagons exist. My neighbour across the road has one.

That's a BMW 5-series wagon, stretched and flattened, with a Mazda6 nose.

It's gotta be.

Ever drive a manual trans 2.0t Regal?

It's probably the worst implementation of drive by wire ever. It either feels like you're communicating with the engine via long distance telegraph, or the engine controller is actively preventing you from driving smoothly.

The automatic electric parking brake release is kinda nice.

I see Subaru in the headlights and Mazda in the grille. Overall, it's handsome enough. I'd be curious to see how they badge it as a Buick. If they keep it mostly the same and just swap out grille emblems, it will be a nice change. If they go full Buick, and add portholes or the like, I'll reserve judgement until I see it.

I do as well!

If Mazda couldn't make a case for bringing the current 6-wagon to the US market, I'm not hopeful Buick will either. But it would be cool to see.

From what I've read, they ARE bringing the Insignia wagon here, but it will be an AWD crossover wagony thing. Better than nothing, I guess. This thing is a real looker.

That being said, I won't buy one because I am too cheap to do it. Only a handful of people will by them with manuals, so down the road when I think they will be affordable, I won't be able to find a single one for sale, or it'll still be over what I want to spend on a used car.

Interesting, but jacking it up into a XC70 or Allroad will kill it for me. I am no fan of tacked on black plastic and the extra ride height with accompanying softness will cause much suck. Yet again the manufacturers will prove that there is no market for wagons in N.A by offering an ugly expensive SUV/wagon thingy that nobody wants.
