Any gun can damage you.  All weapons have lowered zone or lower load for training but when you wanna reach out and touch someone you use the higher zone stuff.  
I was  talking specifically about the M-777 shooting high zone; concussion will break your car windows if you leave them up and more than 10 consecutive rounds will give you heart murmurs and sleeplessness.
