Commodre wants to blow your mind with new stuff that looks old, and is really pretty cool. I thought the all in one XPS/Apple I-series desktops were smart. This takes it in a whole other (awesomer) direction!

Retro computers? Really? How long until it's hip to have bag phones in the car, rotary-dials on home phones, and a pager?

I'm with it. I actually had one of the original versions of said Commodore, and I loved that thing. 5.25" floppies FTW! It'd take me 3 disk swaps to play Pole Position.
if it makes you happier, they have a sleeker, more professional looking model.
Idea is the same though...any monitor with VGA or HDMI inputs can become your new workstation. Personally, Im smitten, and this will be in my next letter to santa,

I hate to admit it, but that's actually kind of cool. I'd LMAO if I saw someone actually use it in public.

I've wanted one for a while. No screens, no buttons, days and days of battery life...

From the link: "Dimensions: About the size of a rotary phone..."
Well, duh...
$299.95 for that phone? I can go over to my Dad's house and use his princess phone or red wall phone.
They are doing that legit now?
I remember a friend bought some cobbled together one off eBay 6-7 years ago. Drunk dialing was never so much fun.
Anyone see the article on a new USB thumbdrive size PC? You plug a USB keyboard into it, a HDMI cable to a monitor and you have a Linux computer. Had a slot for a SD card. Still in development, but the target price? $25. I'd get one of those. That would be cool.

Link? That sounds pretty awesome! Think of the opportunities, too. Public "workstations" that are just monitors and keyboards, plug in your drive and go.

At $25 per, there are loads of cool things that could be built using this...
Wicked cool!
And to think that I threw away my old Motorola bag phone because I didn't think it would ever be useful again.

That's (not) what she said!
Also, the thumbdrive-sized PCs are very cool, and I now want a chunky car-phone for my former-yuppie-mobile Saab.

Ever since I used the cool dashboard interface on TunerStudio, I've had a wild hair to install a PC in my racecar when I go MS on it, and just have that as my realtime dash display.
