Just curious mostly. It's amazing to see how many responses ignore, or reiterate, what was said in the original post.
Or blindly repeat, sometimes almost word for word, what has already been said multiple times.

Usually I read it. At least the original post.
I do have a habit of completely failing at reading comprehension though, and of not reading all responses thoroughly before response.

What I'm curious about is if people actually read any posts in a thread before they respond. Many times they'll repeat almost word for word what has already been said multiple times.
It's odd behavior.
I try to but sometimes I get distracted and forget I'm in the middle of a reply only to come back hours later.
Of course, its amazing to see how many responses ignore, or reiterate, what was said in the original post.

Edit: Dammit, you guys type too fast!
Im curious if people read threads before responding.
Sometimes it doesnt seem like they read, or just ignore what was written or they just regurgitate what everybody else was saying.
Usually, I am so eager to share my thoughts (because they are in fact, brilliant) that I will sometimes ignore what the rest of you have written. You're welcome.
Usually, but sometimes I think I have the perfect answer and skip through
Edit: If it's a direct question to any reader of the thread, like this thread, vs. some ongoing issue, I'm very likely to skip existing replies and add my own immediately, as I did with this thread
I try, but I think sometimes people don't read the responses.
Besides, what are you supposed to do when someone is wrong on the internet?
Seriously, though, this place is a lot better than some. IATN, you are lucky if any more than five percent of respondents read the original post. It like online car ads. "What colour, how many miles?". "Like it says in the ad, yellow and 150,000". "Ok. What color is it?"
I read every thread all the way through before responding. I don't want to be one of those people that just blindly repeats, sometimes almost word for word, what has been already said multiple times.

Sorry... couldn't help myself!
I find it amazing to see how many responses ignore, or reiterate, what was said in the original post.

RIGHT!

Quite a few times I read a thread, realize that everything has already been covered and move on. Not very post whoreish of me, but sometimes it's a special occasion and you end up with...

It's like deja vu all over again.
It's one thing to repeat the original poster over and over again, in a redundant pattern which echoes in a reiterating manner.
But didn't we do this thread before? Not the repeating the question over and over again, but the whole post whore thing in the ignore thread. Which was devastated by the hotlink picture thread.

One of these or something like it pops up every month or so. Those that don't participate are destined to be Dorks forever.

I only recall one real post whore thread where things got both redundant and moot at the same time.
What was the question again, or can we go off on another tangent?
