I didn't even know what one was until this morning. Two unrelated people that appear to be twins.
Click the photos, these people never met before the photo shoot.

I have seen my doppelgänger via my cousin who was at a party and thought it was me. She took a picture and texted "That party was fun last night"
I was a little confused.
I have/had 2. Back in school there was a guy a year ahead of me that even had the same last name, Smith, but no relation. Now I have my friend Rob. My family and coworkers have mistaken him for me. I have lost track of how many times I've had to say that we are not brothers.
I have a doppelganger thats on some Disney kids show. My boss saw him one weekend watching tv with his daughter and sent me a photo. He looks more like me than any of my siblings or relatives.
At one of my previous places of employment, I used to pass a woman in the hallway(s) nearly daily. She always smiled and said "hello". This in itself isn't that unusual. This went on for a couple of years until one day I was waiting for an elevator and she stopped to talk. She said "I saw your picture in the (insert whatever Catholic church newsletter)".
Me: "Um...oh...I'm not Catholic"
She never spoke to me again.
This isn't the only time something like this has happened.
I think I may just have generic guy looks, or something.
I get tired of being mistaken for Jonah Falcon.
People always say I look just like a chubby Chris Farley.

Awesome.
Doppelganger is my favorite word in the English language. Sealab played a small part in that. The word is just ridiculous in every way.
At the time, Eric Rudolph and I shared some similarities. At least this one photo of him does. He was the idiot who bombed the Atlanta Olympics. Fortunately nearly every other photo of him is nothing at all like me.
Then there were a few of Robin Pemberton (current NASCAR inspector) who also looked similar.
We have all aged in significantly different ways since the early to mid-90s.
In reply to PubBurgers:
Doppelganger is actually German for double evil or evil twin.

It does sound awfully German now that you say that. Still awesome.

Are you saying all doppelgangers have mustaches?

does anybody really know who he is, aside of George Takei? Oh My Indeed.
I have a doppelganger.
First a little history:
My first name is Antonio. I majored in History in college at a local state school. And I work for a big financial company based in Boston.
I took a job back in 2011 within my company, and to my surprise, there was a guy who looked a lot like me. His name is Anthony.
Anthony majored in History at the same local state school I went to. And he obviously worked for the same company.
It gets stranger. The two of us got to know each other and we knew a ton of the same people, were into the same music, and at one point we even had the same love interest in college. Check this out:
That was at an Iron Maiden show a few years back. We actually bought beers using each others' ID. I'm on the left, and he is on the right.
Just last week, this happened:
On the left is Anthony's lunch, and on the right is mine. The sandwiches are both chicken sandwiches. We even had the same exact number of Ritz crackers.
I've been told I look like this guy every so often:
Nothing to add other than Testament rocks.

In reply to Grtechguy:
I wish I looked like that guy.
I've never seen anyone that looks like me except my dad.
Luckily no one looks like me....

No E36 M3??? So have I!!! Jonah Falcon always creeped me out, though.
As for my doppelganger,
Jemaine from Flight of the Conchords:
but I've gotten Mark Ruffalo quite a bit, too--which is better--especially from some good-looking women.

I once confused my own mother by putting Jenson Button up as my Facebook picture.
