You know these square-ish ring terminals that are all too common in the engine bays of old european cars? I can't find a source for them and I would really like to.

I usually use the standard ring terminals with a bit of heat shrink over the crimp, which is fine but I am working on a Zagato bodied Abarth that was just shipped over from France and the home made harness in it uses them everywhere. They just look right.

Yes I am being a pedant, but I kind of have to in this situation.

If you get some copper sheet in the right thickness they would be pretty easy to replicate with some aircraft snips and careful bending. I'm assuming you only need a small handful here...

I could easily burn through a hundred or more a year. I will end up doing that to fix this mess but I would love to have a pile on hand at all times.

It's 5 o'clock. Do you know where your square terminals are?

In all seriousness I have no idea. McMaster?

In reply to Jumper K. Balls:

Well, if you can't locate them... a waterjet can make you a hell of a supply in an hour that you just have to fold the flaps of to crimp the wire.

Second page looks close to what you're asking for.

I'd get some oversized ring terminals and just use some linemans pliers to trim off the outside to make it square.

I would check if these guys happen to have them: http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/

I used them a lot when I lived in the UK and they seem to be able to supply most typical European and Japanese connectors.

Lots of options to select from, but what you want is there, somewhere.

Good call on Digikey. They're similar to McMaster.

You can get them in smaller quantities for a higher price. The first number is reel quantity and the one below is "cut tape" where they cut off as many as you want from the reel. Then they are $.10 each instead of $.01.

Instead of Digikey, try Allied or Mouser.
