No.
You embarrass me with your lack of problem solving skills
Not like the solution is right in front of you.

Extra points if you use your favorite auto-x tire.
Have you seen the Vans slipons Trey Jones wears? They are more beat then that and look at how he rides..
Vans are always the right decision though
I wear shoes like that all the time,
but all of mine have inserts to prevent the pain that Toyman speaks of.
Still, sometimes my feet get sore.

This. I spend cubic dollars on shoes.

Having been through the year+ of excruciating pain that is Plantar Fasciitis, I won't be caught dead in a pair of shoes that offer no foot support. BTDT with a old pair of well loved boat shoes that looked much like yours.
LOL, I feel attacked now... guess I'll retire mine before I end up with PF.

Trey's Vans are the stuff of legend, and he's one of our local heroes.
A few years ago, a local bike shop hosted the release of a new BMX video--pretty sure it was backed by Vans--and Trey was one of the stars. I went but alone and didn't know too many people there. This was before I knew Trey and Jabe.
As people were milling about, a woman comes up to me: I'm Trey's mom and just wanted to say hi as I have seen you at the skate park events; feel free to sit with us.
So I sat next to Trey's uncle. So, yeah, good people.
Those are worse than mine...time for a replacement...but I can understand how you may not want to part with them.
I've been putting off buying new ones until i see the right ones at the right price for a few months now. All the new ones look so stiff and uninviting. Mine are mostly relegated to fishing these days. Unfortunately, I'm afraid the soles are thin enough that an oyster shell may breach the sole. I'm too much of a cheapskate to pay retail.
Those shoes were not acceptable when they were brand new.
Also, I can smell them through the computer.

Wrong. Vans are always the right choice.

That sort of sneaker was the only thing available for the first ten or so years of my life. My first set of Addidas were like a magical transpotation device to comfortable feet.

A: good at what?
Good at letting water in.
