Yea, there is kind of a runnint joke among Albertans about Subway, which is you yell profanities at your friends for suggesting to eat there.
When you travel for work in Alberta, it doesn't matter how small the town, it has a Subway and a Boston Pizza. If you've done as much traveling throughout western canada as I have, berkeley that E36 M3. And subway sucks balls either way, same with quiznos and mr.sub.
How hard can it be to open a sandwich shop? I think thats my next business venture in the next 5 years. Any fast food place half decent and original has done amazingly here, I don't see why its not possible to offer quality subs/sandwiches in the same timeframe as subway does.

Amazing that he had the self control to loose that much weight, can't find the self control to stick to women over the age of 18.

So let's turn this discussion around. The subway brand is on the rocks and the franchieses are hard to sell. They overbuilt and offer an inferior product. What happens to them?
In a perfect world they disappear taking Blimpie and Quiznos with them as people realize they have good local delis making better sandwiches for the same price.

Huh? If you don't live in the sticks there are plenty to choose from.
I worked for one finishing up college in 2005, they've since opened a 2nd location.

D'Angelo's, Potbelly, and Jimmy Johns.

There is a deli in the grocery store. They don't make sandwiches.

We all have our weaknesses. I've avoided underaged girls but I have never passed a cookie that hasn't ended up in my mouth.
While many places have sketchy pizza I don't think I ever stopped somewhere that I couldn't get a sandwich. If I did I would keep driving.
Jimmy Johns made me puke like a fire hose. Granted I left that roast beef sandwich in the sun for 3 hours, but, c'mon man! WTF?
We have all of those places (except Quizno's, they're long gone) and I find them to be interchangeable. Subway is near my office so I go there about 3 times a year. But Jared being the spokesperson has never factored into it.

Two six inchers in the same wrapper, that's a footlong by any chain's standards...
We do subway, jimmyjohns and used to do quiznos, and sometimes the local deli.
While the local deli is nice- there no place to sit, so one has to pick up and go- so that's a nice day option. But their selection is limited- numbers of meat and cheese and hard or soft roll.
If there was another choice near by, we would know- we've been eating at the same places for years.
As for the ultimate local deli- first- it's really expensive. Second- one can eat there once a month without worrying too much about massive weight gain. Mostly- it's a 40 mile drive from work.
Fast food sandwich shops have their place.
Alas- it's too bad Jared could not be as focused and disciplined as he was 20 years ago losing weight.

Especially since it isn't that hard to find 18 year olds who look like a 12 year old. Still creepy as hell, but not illegal.
