OP says factory color. The only correct shade of blue for any car is World Rally Blue, but that may be another argument.

No, MX5 is soulless.
Miata has character. It's elegant and femine and reminds me of otters and therefore is cute and cuddling a voracious predator.
The entire question is false because no factory color can match the goodness that is the Martini racing livery.
You're all wrong.
The best color to adorn a MIATA (not MX-5) is Montego Blue.
And not only because I owned one, but that helps. 
All talk of color is irrelevant because all colors want to be Petty blue.
