Welding hat- called it by no-one ever.
Says you, that's my new name for it since i found that meme. Goes great with my plasma glasses.
I definitely haven't googled how to fix a specific alarm condition on a Multus lathe at work before...
In reply to Daylan C :
Almost everything I do at work involves googling "how to do the thing" or "what does this specific error code mean after i did the thing that i previously googled how to do"

Doesn't happen very often for me because I admittedly am doing boring production work most of the time. There has been a time or two where I've had to figure out how to fix a mistake or why the machine suddenly decided to get weird in response to whatever my attempted fix was.

Our company likes to use old outdated versions of software long past their expiration date...we're still installing 32-bit versions of things for crying out loud. I just installed a version of a thing that's two-plus versions out of date, that went end-of-life in April, because that's an *upgrade* from the even older version they were using before. This causes a lot of the headaches I have to deal with.
The rest are caused by people who don't know how a product works asking me to figure out how it works, when I don't know how it works and don't even really know how they plan to use it.
