That is exactly the way I tend to word it.  You're acting like an shiny happy person.  Whether or not you want to aspire to that image is your own business, but that is the uniform you are wearing (to paraphrase a Chris Rock skit)

You are probably right.  Somehow I remembered hearing it in the same set as the Skit He No Longer Uses.
