I misread the instructions, putting in 4x the recommended oil.

This caused mild panic and disappointment. Then I realized I could add more water, flour and eggs to even it out. Worked a treat. But now I have way too many waffles and apparently nobody is interested in impromptu waffle party’s. I even have the good syrup.

Every now and then I get a weird desire to own something powered by a Rover 3.5l.  Preferably with SU carbs.

You could have a Teen Titans Go party.

My confession is I’m down with a waffle party.

I’d be there in a jiffy if you were within 3 hours.  Love good waffles/pancakes/crepes/French toast and good syrup is mandatory

I felt like a tourist being asked for directions when somebody ask me where something was on campus this morning.

Lady I'm just as berking lost as you.

I confess, there's more than one reason I'd like to move to Europe, but "driving weird European variants of crappy Fords" is surprisingly high on my list.

Argh.  There are so many interesting crappy Fords that are legal to import.

I'd love to have a 2 liter Sierra.  I've no idea why.  Three door, not a Sapphire.

I'm going to drive an eight year old Fit to work tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it.

Enough so that I'm not freaking out that the Fit's owner, who will be driving teh R, might park next to other people and risk suffering a door ding.

True, but the Focus that has a folding metal convertible roof won't be importable for another decade plus. laugh

Not to mention all the different Escort and Fiesta and Ka editions that would be awesome to borrow and drive once but aren't worth importing.

Ooh...yeah.

Actually, these would be eligible for import in a few years...basically SVT Contour, but wagon shaped.

Sierra wagon might already be legal.

I bought an LS swap kit for my Trans Am but may end up using all those parts on my truck because most of it should fit and mean I don't have to be as picky looking for an engine for the truck. GTA is too nice to go full racecar so it'll probably go back mostly stock with better EFI, heads, and a manual trans. Keeping the 16" gold lace wheels too.

Or a turbo LS might be enough power to justify a sunoco hood on the GTA...

I believe "hnng" is appropriate.

The more Queen I hear, the less Queen I like.  I'm really glad that last year's rediscovery of them is starting to wane.

By 9:15 this morning, I'd already had two shirts ruined by two different clogged liquid soap dispensers.

If I was sure the savings would fully fund it, I’d trade my WRX in for a used Prius, in order to afford to LS swap my S10.

Oh yes. I’ve had an inexplicable yet intense desire for a hot Ford wagon since that last Grand Tour episode reminded me they exist.

I also ruined a shirt today.  Rapid unscheduled removal via 4.5" cup brush.  Escaped nearly unscathed.

Also, watched Ronin with the wife (she thought it was boring, wtf?) Anyway, it made me want a big, fast, German luxury car.

Got around to watching Stranger Things... ooo, an old Blazer would be a fun thing to have.

I think maybe my automotive desires are heavily influenced by film and TV.

It's a heist movie.  They get together a team, make a plan, steal the MacGuffin. But almost every member of the "team" is acting for their own ends.  The only "pure" characters are Dierdre, Vincent, and Larry.  Dierdre is just a good little subordinate for her handler,), Vincent is a good natured mercenary, just doin' his job, as is Larry.   Dierdre's handler Seamus, if you pay attention to the news voiceovers, turned out to be someone who was acting on his own to try to re-ignite the militant aspects of the IRA.  Gregor is an East German ex-spy who is actually trying to double cross the Irish in order to profit for himself.  Sam is still in an American TLA and is only pretending to be a mercenary, as Vincent and his friend Jean-Pierre hinted at thinking was the case, and wasn't explicit until he told Dierdre flat out "I never left!".  (Which is kind of funny when you rewatch the planning scenes.  "Have you done this sort of thing before?"  "....  No. (subtext: Yes, but I don't want you to ask me about it)"   And Spence... well, Spence was a joyrider and quickly dealt with.

It was an awesome movie, and it also had some interesting cars.

Anyway, it made me want a big, fast, German luxury car.

Huh, it made me want a Peugeot.
