My son bent at least one C clamp and BROKE MY VISE trying to compress a twist style one. They're not bad if you know how they work, but if not...

This is much like taking an American/Japanese car background and starting to work on German-engineered hardware. It's such a different mindset.

I try to keep in mind - 'If it's hard, you're doing it wrong (or don't have the right tool)' - learned that the first time doing the rear brakes on a Cavalier. Without the right tool, you're likely to draw blood repeatedly without making ANY headway.

I understand why women wear leggings all the time now.

I am resistant to long pants, but it has been unreasonably cold in Florida as of late. That lead me to investigate under layers and end up in a running store, buying compression running pants.

They're unbelievably comfortable. Even as long pants.

I was wearing shorts, flip flops,  and T-shirt in 38 degrees yesterday.  You need to embrace your inner Florida man.

In winter, especially in sub-zero temps, I like to play a mental game called, "Who Would Be Dead in Montana?" Coveralls? Ok. Running shoes and track jacket? Dead. Hoodie? Dead.

Stampie and mndsm make the dead list. laugh

My theory Saturday was FL people can't handle the cold.  Meaning if I can walk from my Suburban the 60 feet to the store where they have the heat cranked up to 80 degrees then I'm fine.  It wasn't sub zero, it was chilly.  I've spent a year in South Korea with a sub zero winter.

Another way to look at is the kids out in the garage doing stuff.  Screwing it up but he's trying.

Comfortable for you, and as long as there's proper clothing over top, comfortable for those around you...blush

Our cheese grater is in the dish washer pretty much every time we run it.

I've been off work for 6 days and I have to WFH tomorrow and 1/2 a day on Thursday.   My productivity level will be low those 12 hours.

Then I'm off 4-1/2 more days.  January 3rd is looking sketchy too for winning Employee of the Month.

My cheese grater hasn't been in the dishwasher for a whole year because that would be too long.

Swmbos considering a new automocar to go with her fancy new pay package. That, and she wants to not drive a 10 year old Nissan penalty box.

Leading contenders are in no particular order, Hyundai ioniq5, Kia ev6, Genesis gv60, Mazda cx-50, Ford escape, Lincoln Corsair, and the 2023 Prius.

I'm ashamed to admit how high in my personal rankings the Prius is, just on looks alone.

I've had ice cream for dinner twice and lunch once this week.  No regrets.

I want to put a GMC V6 in something.

Granted they made noooooo power - the 702ci V12 was rated at 250hp gross - but still.  Imagine a 302-478ci V6!

I think at this point I would consider it MORE unusual if you didn't have ice cream for a meal.
