I suspect Mrs. O'lady is smoking again.
I've noticed her going outside an awful lot lately, and wondered. This afternoon I realized I forgot something, walked back from the shop, definitely smelled cigarette smoke, and she wasn't in the house.
I generally don't care what she does, and I've told her that. But smoking killed her dad, her mom, her sister in her early 50's, and by the sounds she makes doing anything physical, it's probably gonna get her too.

Hopefully it's a temporary thing as well

In reply to Peabody :
My mother and father went through that too. He woke up one morning and went cold turkey (successfully), but she kept sneaking a handful a day for a while.
This was while watching my aunt still smoke herself to death on the half a lung she still had left, so there shouldn't have been any "it won't happen to me" thinking.
Addictions are tough.
If you're borrowing someone's car, don't mess with the preset radio stations.

I'll go a step further: if you're close enough to my size to fit and/or reach the pedals, if you're not going far, don't mess with the seat!
Coworker took my work truck 500ft and back and somehow felt it necessary to adjust both the slider and the recline. We're within 2 inches of each other, height-wise.

I've never liked Keurigs... the only experience I've had with them was that the office I had to spend time at for a week at a time a decade ago had a Keurig. I don't drink coffee, but I have for quite a while drank hot tea (even if these days I drink hibiscus 'tea' and not real tea...) and I quickly learned that nothing I could do would keep it from tasting like coffee. I eventually bought my own small electric water pot in to boil water for my tea.
Thankfully The Dancer isn't a coffee drinker- she rarely has anything with caffeine in it, and when she does It's Super Effective!- she likes to say that when she starts to slow down as she gets older she'll start drinking it to keep more at the level she's at naturally now. Some friends who stayed at our cabin one time were shocked that we didn't (at the time, another friend ended up leaving a bag of it there) have coffee there for the guests (though there is a coffee maker), but we were like, "We don't drink it, and figure that anyone who does and needs it that badly would think to bring their own with them."
I'm exactly the right (wrong?) height that when I stand at the counter to wash my hands in the restroom, my shirttail gets on the counter and gets wet.

This is one reason I would be happy if we do end up getting The Dancer a new truck- most of them these days have preset seat adjustments so we could hit a button and pretty much everything except the rear view mirror (and likely the steering wheel, don't think that's power-adjusted yet...) would go to where we each need it.
Though ironically (given the nearly foot in height difference between us...) the only adjustment we need to make to the seat is that I need it reclined a fair bit more than she does- otherwise the driver's seat can stay in the same spot. It's weird- you'd think that with as much shorter as she is that I'd have to slide the seat seat backward... but nope, just need to recline the seat back.
If you go to a gas station that's regularly packed and park at the pump to go shopping for 20 minutes, I hope you get an impossible to find leak in your tires in perpetuity.
Am I just blind, or is there not going to be a GRM New Years exchange/game this year? I've looked everywhere and not seen a thread on it and it's usually been up for a week or two at this point. Not that I really need yet another thing to be worrying about getting done, but at least that's something fun to be doing.

AKA the Buckee's model. berkeley that place. They opened a monster one somewhere between Florida and VA, and I figured, "Sure, used these in TX, it's fine" while driving my FD home. 10 minute traffic jam to get off the highway and into the pump queue, which was full of the people you described. No problem, I'll park in the back of the lot and go in and buy my 2stroke oil to premix, surely a pump will have cleared by then. Inside is the loudest walmart equivalent I have ever seen. I walked the whole store, twice, looking for oil before stopping an employee, "Oh, we don't sell oil"....."You are a gas station, right?".....back outside, now furious. Another 10 minute traffic jam to get back to the highway, where three exits later I found a Mobil with 2-stroke and no wait, and a Burger King right next to it for lunch. Not that I'm still bitter about it or anything :P
In reply to Flynlow :
In a pinch, the Burger King could probably also have supplied some of whatever they use as passable two-stroke oil. I mean, you've seen the blue smoke rolling out of those places in the morning, right?

I can't imagine going to Buckee's for anything. I do not understand willingly subjecting yourself to that kind of commercialism. The only advantage to them would be the gas stations around them will be less crowded.
To Brett_Murphy, Spearfishin, Appleseed, danO, and anyone else I might have missed.
I use a Wahl cordless trimmer with a No-2 attachment on both my head and beard so I have no personal need for conditioner.
SWMBO on the other hand sports an impressive mane that requires considerable maintenance...basically, we've got a Miata & Biturbo sharing a garage.

I've got a Wahl cordless that gets used sans guard on the gourd.

this year wants to end with a middle finger. Covid in October, cold in November, and now a root canal.
Warner Brothers (WBN) is up 13% today on news that they're splitting into two business units.
Fun fact...two weeks ago I played a round of Foosball using the table from FRIENDS....shoulda', woulda', coulda' made better use of the time buying me some WBN.
BTW, the table was ostensibly destroyed in the last episode (S-10, E-18) but it was a double to preserve the original set.
I'm dealing with my father and getting him signed for medicare/social security. He's 70 and too much of a clod to do it himself. He was working full time and doing well but had a stroke. Totally took out his right side.
I need a form filled out by his now previous employer. They said they needed a doctor's note before they could terminate him. A doctor's note for a stroke? I understand procedure and such but come on...
