I'm going to get to see my family (parents, brother and sister) for the first time in about two years.

I have a burn on my leg. It's been a couple of hours, and it's doing a slow throbbing thing.
Why is this a win?
I just took the first drive in the Birkin.

Side exhaust?
Yep, passenger side. I know it's a thing, but I let my guard down.
I parked the Manic Miata in the garage 8 months ago. I had the battery on a tender on the bench and unfortunately an upper back injury prevented me from getting it back in the car. I missed a really nice roadster spring.
I put the battery back in today. 8 months and 2 weeks sitting, and it fired right up after 15 seconds of cranking.
This car never ceases to amaze me.
My 16 month old just farted. Really, really loudly. She proceeded to fall over laughing.
kids are awesome.
Around time with family over the last month, I finally got back into the garage and cleaned it up (some).
I found a buyer for some parts that will recoup money for challenge car.
Finally filled the gas can so I can use it for challenge car as well as lawnmower.
Ordered/received some parts for several of my cars after a self-imposed limit for the last several months..
4.5 month old is growing well and entertaining us more every day
Lots of minor wins occurring.
So my son has been working at Chick Fil A for a while now and recently got promoted to trainer. This involves a change from a “red shirt” line employee to a “blue shirt” trainer (as well as, hopefully, a raise). I asked him if that meant he was no longer the most likely employee to be killed during a mishap or alien contact at Chick Fil A, and he said yes, but it now becomes his duty to somberly inform the manager “He’s dead, Jim” whenever there’s an accident.
I've been trying to solve an intermittent electrical problem in my barn for some time now. I thought I'd solved it a while ago and posted that as a win, but can't find it, so maybe I didn't. I know now that it's worse in the rainy, wet weather. I found that out as it was storming last week and I got a beauty shock when I touched the light switch box.
Either way, it's been bad now for the last week because of the rain and I was able to isolate it yesterday. I removed the offending circuit and all is good. This is a large win because it's been keeping me up at night and I've actually been powering down the whole building when I'm not in there.
Autocrossed in the rain today.
The morning heat had enough dry to lay down some respectable times bit I was in the afternoon and rain had rolled in. So I decided not to skate around in the Zoomboni and instead bummed a seat in a newish Audi RS3. Fun little car that netted me 4th fastest raw time (and fastest of the afternoon cars driving in the wet). Good times.
Finally got honest with myself and started chucking stuff from my work shop into the dumpster. Dead projects, old car parts, leftover bits, all tossed. If I hadn't touched it after the house renovation (which is why I held on to most of it), then it wasn't going to be used ever. I now have a workbench again. It ain't much, but it's a beachhead.
First autocross in 8 months last Saturday. Other than 1 day's commute to work I hadn't driven the Manic Miata in 8 months either.
The car ran like a champ and I didn't drive too badly either. Times fell all day and I placed 3rd out of 7 in SSM in a very under-built and under-tired car on 4-year-old street rubber.
Took the Yaris to Erie, PA and back with a detour to Conneaut as well. Not a bit of trouble and averaged 39.9mpg over 700+ miles.

The big city of Conneaut! I run a shop there, next time hit me up and I'll see if we can connect.
Made one of our local nutjobs rage-quit (lock) his own discussion thread on NextDoor rather than let me make him look worse and worse. berkeley'em.
My wife admitted that I was right about the the thing we argued about a couple weeks ago (that really shouldn't have been a big deal).
(Short story long: She got this water fountain for the pets. Over time it gets scummy and desperately needs to be cleaned and filter replaced. It's got a bunch of parts that were not designed with ease of cleaning in mind. I argued this is stupid and we should just use it as a still water dish that the pets can drink from, and we can take, rinse, and refill without it becoming unsanitary instead of messing with the unnecessary pump that the pets do not care about.)
In reply to Beer Baron :
I'm glad you were right about that, because I've had to deal with cleaning those before as well.
Unfortunately not all pets are like that, one of my girlfriend's dogs refuses to drink from a stillwater bowl.

They sell cleaning kits with the appropriate brushes. We have one, and spent time cleaning the fountain every few days.
The better solution was to leave a bowl in the tub and let water drip into it. This works well, considering the shower/tub is generally used for an hour a day, at most.
I have finished jumping through hoops and should be approved for a vertical sleeve gastronomy (sp) shortly, I finally got a tattoo for Jodi, and I may have found a new toy.
