Nice! The Dancer unfortunately is not a huge fan of zucchini, but it looks like it would work well with other squash that she's more willing to eat. I imagine that you could make it gluten free and even healthier by using spaghetti squash instead of actual spaghetti (though that might be a bit of squash overload...).
As of today, I've got my flight medical approval (BasicMed) back in hand and am planning to take an A&P colleague from work to go look at airplane for potential purchase on Saturday!
Boots exploded at work today.
DSW still carries my favorite boots, which are lower priced now, AND they are 25% off right now, so I got them and some new socks for like $110. Usually I can't get out of there for under $160!
Of course Converse don't qualify for the sale, and the ones I want are $65... yoicks

What brand? Anything in particular that you like about them?
I have a hell of a time with footwear that really fit properly (wide toes, narrow heel, low volume foot).

Ordered a couple Roku devices last week. Box came yesterday and there was a bonus 4K streaming stick in the box.

See barefoot shoes. I wear them every day.

I'm a fan of Altra shoes. I think they're along that philosophy. Except the only ones REI had when I went in were bright orange, which is fun, but not really stylish for going out. I also need good options on a general-purpose boot. I've currently got a pair of Keen light hiking boots.
I'll look for options. I presume I'll be able to find stuff at either DSW or REI?

This ^ I wear Xero's 90% of the time. The other 10% I wear dedicated shoes for walking or hiking.
Mrs Monohue found a recipe that works beautifully in her dutch oven, and for two days in a row now we've had really good, fresh, homemade bread at dinner.
I'd got some kites for the neighbor's boys and yesterday provided them with excellent conditions to fly them!
It's another fine day so I gave my vehicular a good detail.
Guinness non-alcohol is actually solid and enjoyable. (Assuming you like Guinness.) Full stop. No qualifiers.
I've tried other NA beers, and none have been good. They've all been "okay... for non-alcohol." In all cases, I would rather just drink a seltzer water and add a bit of flavoring to it.
Guinness NA is actually an enjoyable beverage that is capable of satisfying my desire for a beer, but without alcohol.
It's far from the greatest beer ever, but neither is Guinness. I can still enjoy a Guinness, and there are times where one really hits the spot. As beers go, I'd put it just a shade behind standard Guinness.
That still means that, I would take it every time over a lite beer, Heineken/Stella or other major Euro import bottled lager (all of which are intentionally spoiled for the U.S. market).
In reply to Beer Baron 🍺 :
I bought some of the NA Guinness about a month ago and thought the same thing.
We're passing the time in the evenings watching subtitled Initial D as a family, and 4yo Little Monohue is engaged. Mrs Monohue and I watched it together on bootleg VHS long ago, when I was driving an AE86 (actually delivering food in it, truth be told). It was a cliche even then, but it was a good time, and it's fun to revisit it with the kid.

The biggest shiny happy person in our little city cashed out and sold his house. Seems that even the most staunch NIMBY around here has a price. Years of showing up drunk and bullying people at city meetings, getting arrested, saying racist crap, and being a general dick will soon be over.
I can't wait to tailgate the demolition and toast the groundbreaking of the new townhouses going in.
Just randomly checking real estate listings. Options that fit our criteria, budget and wants are up ten fold over the same filters six months ago. Hoping the political "climate" and season mean interest rates don't rise again and folks get a little worried and try to cash out before November. Lease is up in December. I think this is the year we stop renting.

I had my awful neighbor move out a year or so ago. It's like finally getting that splinter out, but from your brain. Such a relief. And the new neighbors are awesome.
There may only be a small percentage of people here that will understand this, but I was stabbing the engine back into a Ford yesterday, eyeballed the converter location, and hit the holes, without rotation.
Ya see, Ford products are built by people who hate all other people on the planet, so they weld studs to the converter, that need to hit the holes in the flexplate, while you are trying to line up bellhousing dowels and engine mounts, and half a dozen other things.
It would be less irritating if anyone else, anywhere on the planet, did the same thing. However, as I said above, Ford engineers are filled with hate, and try to make life horrible for all other beings.

I'll belive you if you believe me when I had a Forester unitized hub/wheel bearing assembly fall out of the upright and the backing plate. Literally fall out, hit the ground, after I removed the fourth bolt.
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
Nope. Blind-ass luck on the converter rotation, but you are talking about an act of god, and I'm an atheist.
Built my first transmission last night, a FWD Honda 9spd. It passed the dyno test. 51 weeks from no knowledge to building transmissions.

USPS lost my summit order, so summit gave me a refund after I waited a few weeks. Then today the order showed up outside my door, I guess they found it. The nice thing is, its a bunch of AN fittings so I can actually use the duplicates.
