No-Spill Gas Cans - Thumbs-Up! (no canoe)

I was inspired by the Oil Catch pan thread, but I've been forever frustrated by modern gas cans. After Hurricane Sandy, we were looking for a gas can and my wife suggested I look on Amazon. I came across the No-Spill brand, and bought a two 5 gallon cans.

In using them, they are far and away the best gas can I've ever used. They're easy to pour, you can adjust the flow of gas very easily, and best of all, I don't spill gas anywhere. They're not cheap, but I am and even to me they're worth the extra money. I know this sounds like a glowing review, but feel free to check out their reviews on Amazon, as well...

Another option is to buy the "not for fuel"(definitely for fuel) red NATO spec jerry cans and nozzles.

Do these have an air inlet somewhere to let air back into the can so that gas comes out faster and smoother?

There's a push button on the nozzle that allows you to meter the flow of gasoline. They're patented it and claims it flows twice as fast as other nozzles. All I know is the gas comes out of the can quickly

I agree. I bought one last year after Sandy. It was kind of expensive but It was the only one available. These are the best of the modern "safety" cans.

I'll have to look at these, I'm sick of my safety cans, and about to just use our lemons fuel jugs for the lawnmower. We modified them to flow 5 gallons in 23 seconds, but that's overkill for the mower.

$36.87 for a berkeleying gas can? Thanks, but I'll buy the old style from the swap meets. I spill so much gas with the new EPA friendly cans it isn't even funny.

for about $10 you can make any EPA compliant gas can non-EPA compliant- and thus fully functional... i've had mine for over a year and it hasn't fallen apart yet...

It pisses me off we have to even figure out a way to work around this stupid E36 M3.

I agree I bought a little one to keep for the weed hacker and its the biggest pos thing I've ever dealt with. I just end up spilling it all over lol. That is much better for the environment. I always thought it was just mine bc it is from harbor freight haha

oil changes are also a problem area with some..

Yeah, this. Although the vent is in an inconvenient spot, where else would it go?

I love how those even include a vent that conveniently pushes into a 1/2" hole for use on all those cans that turned to dust 20 years ago.
