Whilst all the parts of that Lada are pretty I'm not sure if they're north of 30k pretty. Plus isn't that ride height really high for a 'race car'? In fairness the whole field looks that way. More gravel spec rally car to be honest. The E30 M3 in the pics however.

Wow, that is bad. No transmission means you are likely looking at another 3k minimum and then you still have to assemble and paint your salvage title abomination. I got a street value of less than 10k. It would be a great donor for a Boxster with a blown motor, assuming the turbo motor will even fit.
Yeah, I'd have to question anything shy of a GT2 at that price, and even then, dang, that's a lot of work.
So, so many questions
It's at a dealership! For 20k! What?!
On further inspection - they have some bizarre inventory. Several Ladas, a Unimog, and a bunch of high end Euro stuff. They also sell Urals. What a weird dealership.

2 grand for this? It appears to have been literally buried for the past 30 years and is largely composed of iron oxide at this point.

It's an all original classic, of course it's worth that. Bet the rust has matching numbers. I guess this is why you don't see too many "field finds", at least barns keep some of the elements from eating the car.

Does it come with a dustpan?
In reply to cmcgregor:
Wow, there's some pretty crazy inventory there. Their prices seem to be on the high end for the normal inventory though. Case in point $20K for that.
In reply to stroker:
Yikes! $900? Maybe $50 for the steel

I don't understand how CL posts can be so piss poor. I feel like CL is one incredibly long journey of someone trolling us.

It's a drag car. What more do you need to know?
Oh, and it's most definitely not a motorcycle/scooter...
In reply to cmcgregor:
Damn. I was really looking for a drag scooter. It's amazing what you can find in 5 mins.
$11,500 "barn find"
Its a fairmont with a mustang nose. please kill it with fire

While that is a LUDICROUS price for that thing (IMO, of course) I kinda love the upholstery

yeah..... It's not pretty.

Clearly it didn't come with a fire extinguisher.
That just looks like it wants to be put out of its own misery

Not sure how delusional, but thought it was weird enough to share here.
Lada Racecar?
A buddy of mine "Tibi" built two of these. One was a Stasys Brundza replica, and the other was a 125p Monte Carlo replica (2-liter fiat twin cam in that one). All in, he's spent about half that cars cost in parts.
(the Brundza replica got signed by Stasys Brundza at a veteran car show he just happened to be attending. Apparently Stasys was pretty impressed with his work, and I'm pretty sure I've never seen Tibi happier )
good times
edit: Here's a video of him at the Mikulyas Rallye in Hungary
http://indavideo.hu/video/13_Mikulas_Rally_2107_belso
This one had all the goodies the others had, but it gets driven in anger. That's his girlfriend szilvi in the passenger seat co-driving. Also, watch the shift pattern when he starts, first gear is where fifth should be. (sorry about the crappy music)
