Thanks for the advice, man..you were absolutely right about going for the Type S. Seems like all the base models I was looking at had the automatic anyway (including the one I drove). There was a shade of blue that I absolutely love on these cars (my prospective son-in-law has one that color), but the black wasn't a deal-breaker. Especially since I already own two black cars, and the AC actually works in this one. As for all the stuff I've said about "NEVER BUYING A BERKELEYING BLACK CAR EVAH AGIN!!1!", here ya go..
