As a reply to the people hating on "short pants" in whichever thread that was recently... don't hurt yourselves laughing.
To be honest, cut-off BDUs are not always the best choice. Like when you have to keep stepping over lots of jagged metal things. Similarly, the Belleville MINI-Mil boots are effing awesome, right up until you drop a chunk of unibody on one of your toes.

Began the process of saving this one from 30 years in this garage. Cannot believe this car was local
Geez, Trent, it looks like you could save that thing with an oil change and a wash mitt.
Evidently there's a lot of money around here. Lord knows I haven't found any yet, but it's out there.

It's Memorial Day Weekend 2025, end of May. Should be nice weather. This is a hotlink, but necessary for context:

We're experiencing an awful string of weather in the Northeast. We cancelled our Lime Rock Trans Am weekend. But here's a couple random pics from my phone that represent our Thursday night in this miserable weather:

A little bit of UC Berkeley while walking with my son. Love that early evening light!

Always seemed strange to me that they gave it such an offensive name.

Kiddo number 1 took a hard fall last year snowboarding, leading to a twisted ankle and wearing a boot for a few weeks.
I was organizing the garage and it looks like he must've caught a rock or something else solid causing the fall.

I fit 13 8' 2x4s in the SS and still closed the trunk.

"So Daniel, how did you come to break your finger?"
Well Doc, I'm starting a new reality TV show called "Stupid Human Tricks".

Notice the size of the garage compared to the house.

There was a lawn and garden bag full of weeds there.
Must be getting old, there's a huge satisfaction in getting that done. Like, I was under a lot of stress this week thinking about how badly it needed done, but between the weather gods and so many midges that they show up on weather radar I couldn't get to it until today.
Now for the ten bag fulls in the backyard...

Finding time for yardwork is a challenge, but I like the ability to see the end result the same day/weekend in most cases. That sense of accomplishment is refreshing.
