Today I was at the store and almost bought a Lancia of the same type that's racing in the 3dbotmaker rally championship this season.
Then just now I learned that Hot Wheels designe Ryu Asada just passed away from cancer. Ryu was the designer of the Lancia (among many others) and was the "driver" of the car, as the lore goes. I'll have to head back to the store and pick one up in honor of him.

I met him at a couple nationals he was a really great guy and he's to thank for the current generational change to euro and jdm cars from the hot rod / muscle car styles of the 80's and 90's. He will be missed.

Found an RX-3 in new colors. Also a Zamac STi, and the black Falken 86.
Matchbox came out with a 79 Disco Nova.
They also made the Road Stripe King. Theres a hole right through the center. Just the right size for a crayon to draw your stripes.
And finally, the holy hell find, the Dektora Raijin Express.
This thing is so rad.

Don't feel too bad. Besides that red GT40 and the orange GTO, this is the first new stuff I've seen...since before Christmas.

Found some good stuff today. Local Target has had a ton of RIck and Morty/Flying Customs/Other stuff that I'm not interested in, but it seems like they haven't been restocking the other stuff. Still haven't seen the other rally cars that I'm missing.
I also saw and passed on a Corvette Z06 Convertible and then realized when I got home that it was a Treasure Hunt car - and I think it had mismatched wheels, too. Oops. Maybe I'll go back tonight and see if it's still there.

Went to Fredricksburg VA with the girlfriend this weekend (about 5 hours away), great little city.
Hit up some antique shops and bought some (toy) cars. Dates on the bottom are late 80s, IIRC
