55 may be colder than is economical. Sometimes it's actually more efficient to keep it closer to normal temperature than it is to let it cool way lower and have to drag it all the way back up.

Mine is set to drop to 50 or 55 at night, but I don't think it has ever actually fallen that low.

i have been training my nests. I can wake up and bump the heat in the family room by the time I am down there it is nice and up to temp. Same in revere for the bedrooms. Bump the heat about 20 min before going to bed then drop it once in bed. Set it for the same in the in the morning bump the heat a bit befor you get up and then have it go back to 60 for the rest of the day.  Just makes things so much more pleasant.
