Yesterday I was heading home from Florida to PA and decided to give Amtrak's Auto Train a try. I figured it would be an incredibly boring ride, but there are circumstances that required the train trip vs driving. Anyway, we had just departed the Sanford station and were less than an hour out when just by chance I spotted something out the left window of the train. I thought that my eyes were playing an unbelievable trick on me! Who would think that there would be a Porsche 917/10 sitting in a grass field behind some old warehouse! I could not believe it, so I took out my iPad and searched for “red 917-10 Deland Florida”. Much to my surprise it returned a picture of this
I then hen read the article to find it was an old GRM Challenge car. I guess that when traveling 60+mph on a train and only seeing something for 2-3 seconds, your eyes can play evil tricks on you. Glad I was able to find it quickly via a search or I would be going nuts on my next trip back trying to find it.
