The Ramones and Mitsubishi

I just saw an ad on TV for Mitsubishi that used Blitzkreig Bop by the Ramones as background music.

I recently heard some Cure while grocery shopping. 

Cadillac used DEVO's Uncontrollable Urge once.

I recently heard soft music in an elevator

The news flash here might be that Mitsubishi is advertising at the brand level. 

For a while there was an Army recruitment commercial that used The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again".

Here's an obscure one that made me fall out of my seat: a 2016 Lexus commercial featuring Pylon, an early Athens band–like, pre-R.E.M.–that I totally love.

Nissan used The Gaslight Anthem in a commercial ones, used a small bit of the song "Howl"

This one caught me by surprise when it came out. I do not tend to naturally associate Motörhead and animated hamsters, but that's why I'm not in advertising, I guess.

I hardly ever get to see commercials having gone to streaming only. That was awesome but did not make me want to buy a Soul.
