I have been considering getting s PS4 because of the next Gran Turismo game and the fact I can use my G27, which is worthless to a Xbox1. I feel as though I am not a extreme enough gamer to consider these systems, I have a Ps3 for playing GT6 and a Xbox360 to play all non-racing games. GT7 will pretty much be worthless without online play, at the same time I probably play less than once month, typically more so during the off season. I almost thinking a upgrading computer would be better then getting either of the PS4 or Xbox1.
You can use the g27 with the ps4, but only after tricking the PS4 into recognizing it as an approved controller. This is of course going off of dated info that predates the g29 release.

I've got a long history with the PS platform, so I'll probably go PS4. Xbox users swear by the Xbox controller, but it's very uncomfortable and unnatural to me.
Is Project CARS as good as Forza is supposed to be?
+1,000,000 on the controller. I dislike the asymmetrical layout of the XB controller. I'm glad Sony kept the layout but finally improved the ergonomics with the ps4.
I'm very good at PC first person shoot games.
Lets say my skill level is ~100 on PC.
On Xbox (Halo mainly) its ~50.
On PS3 (variety of games) its ~20. Or worse.
I have a PS3, and playing games that involve aiming is infuriating to me. No amount of settings tinkering or practice enables me to aim well. I understand I will never be as good as I am on a PC, but at least on Xbox/Halo I'm competitive and can have fun.

From what I read, most of the wheel support comes from the application. So if you want to use a G27 in CARS or GT7 (sport?) it will be dependent on if they support it. It seems very likely GT will support the G27 (and family) since they are very popular wheels.

I've all but decided to go with XboxOne and the Forza combo deal. Both Amazon and Best Buy have it for $400. I figure that and Star Wars Battlefront are the two games I'm really interested in, so I might as well go with the combo (since no SWB option).
Now do I wait for a Turkey Day special, or just card it this weekend?

I personally try to avoid Black Friday crap

I was referencing the actual "getting the ps4 to recognize the g27" thing. A friend of mine was in that boat and having a rant fest over dongles or some E36 M3 trying to get this to work.

Me too. I don't think I've shopped that day, ever. Usually a movie marathon of some theme. 80's classics one year, 6 Star Wars movies another.

The only question is then, "How much is your time worth to you?"
FWIW, I suggest the car pass on FM6 as well. Only dlc that won't buy will be a Porsche pack that will eventually come out.
