I had that happen to me. Well actually the guy running me. Back in the day my best friend and I were always competing. I had a 1968 340 Cuda and he bought just about everything trying to beat me. (he never did)

We had a new service road by the expressway that we used to run on. He bought a Ford Fairlane with a 390. He showed me how much it would burn out and then backed into position. When we took off he headed backwards and was so confused about what happened that he went close to an 1/8 of a mile in reverse before he figured out he had his foot on the gas and not the brake. He just kept pressing harder to the floor thinking it was the brakes.

We still laugh about that to this day,

Awww man, that's totally some E36 M3 that would happen to me...if I was the kind of dickhead who had to do a John Force burnout every time I lined up in my 15 second car.
