Velveta isn't kept in the cheese section at the grocery store.

Ok, I found it in the Mexican aisle at mine, where is it at yours?

Well, there's a reason for that...
In reply to RevRico :
The same here, the all encompassing "International Food" section. Apparently we don't want credit for it.
TIL that if you add a pkg of onion soup mix and 4 slices of diced bacon to a pound of ground beef it makes a most excellent meatloaf
Whenever Velveeta or a similar product is mentioned, I always thing back to the time Norm took the gang to The Hungry Heifer for lunch.
Cliff: I'm not sure about that beef I had."
Norm: "Beef? No, that's beff. It's a flaked and formed...meatlike substance."
Woody: "I liked the loobster."

I'm amazed the "cheese" isn't refrigerated.
Velveeta doesn't require refrigeration until you break the seal.
Even after that I don't think I've ever had Velveeta go bad in the fridge. After a while, as moisture evaporates out of it, salt deposits form on the surface, but I have never seen mold.

Every once in a while when we get a server that's over 30, DW and I will order "the Feeding Frenzy for two" and see if we get a reaction.
In reply to Duke :
My father would sit and eat most of the block at one time. I don't think I've seen one last long enough to get moldy.
In reply to Wally (Forum Supporter) :
We get the urge to make chili cheese dip every once in a while and buy a block. We make it once and then the other half of the block sits in the back of the deli drawer for 4 or 5 months.
TIL that consuming an entire bag of sugar free Halls cough drops will cause lots of suffering 2-4 hours later.
And just when you think that you have expelled all of the suffering from your body, more suffering will come out.
And when you are at Walmart to get non sugar free cough drops, the suffering will make a surprise appearance.
This is probably the only time I have been thankful that my sense of smell and taste are 100% gone. Yikes.

TIL that halls probably uses the same stuff that is in sugar-free gummy bears
TIL that an aged out full face helmet appears to work pretty well while using the snowblower mounted to the lawn tractor. Also provides protection from bonking my head on the lift, which the rig is parked under. Unfortunately, no pictures.
Still want to wear a balaclava though-- snow down the back of your neck isn't super pleasant.
In reply to Karacticus :
I use the guts from a CVC helmet for noise reduction and weather protection.

That's because velveeta is not cheese.

I don't know what Holland Creme is, but Boston is my jam.
