That's nothin'. That's what cars that have never seen salt look like.
I have seen a 3 year old CX-3 with severe bubbling at every spot weld under the car and swelling between the welds. Not a good sign.

New England "spicy" is not spicy. I wouldn't even worry about giving the "spicy" food here to my toddler.
You must be eating at tourist places. I know plenty of places that will make your face go numb and then it will feel like it has fallen off.

TIL that Duke and I were at approximately the same place at approximately the same time.

TIL that my mental health is way important than a good salary.
No doubt. I've never been happier than I was after leaving a fairly lucrative job for one that was more enriching. The irony is that I make more now than I would have if I stayed on board. Plus it's much easier dealing with a work day when you don't detest what you do and who you have to work with.
TIL that the best method for cleaning interior auto glass is just a damp old bath towel; no chemicals - no special cloth.
I stayed at my brother's house last night.
TIL that the Squatty Potty actually seems to do what it claims to do.
Today I learned just how cold it must get in the great white north. I toured the Ford Museum today. Almost every flat surface in the place had radiators on it. I can only imagine the number of BTUs they would have to dump into this building to keep it remotely warm.
Even the columns were radiators.
TIL that even in dry weather, a front wheel drive S60R will shred the front tires in 1st gear with disturbing ease, and will still break them loose on a 2nd gear start when the turbo wakes up unless you are careful.
i cannot imagine how people drive modded Focus STs.

The squatty potty and a bidet attachment (even if the right toilet seat cost more than the bidet attachment) were money well spent.

It really does make them kinda useless. Fun, in a goofy way. My srt4 breaks the front tires loose about 3500 rpm in second gear.
There is something childish and entertaining in that.

Turning 30 was scary for me only because I promised my annoying youngest cousin that I'd get a haircut when I was thirty.
That was 13 years ago. Still no haircut. Also, she's like 35 now. Still feel 16 except for the parts that involve minor injury, which has gone from "laughing off falling off a cliff" to "limping for six months after sleeping funny". And I kinda wish that was an exaggeration.
Evolution rewards things that make you resilient during your prime breeding years, after that, it doesn't matter, so if you live long enough to get over that hump, you're kinda berked...

I'm doing my best to maintain my health and physical fitness, so hopefully I don't cascade down a slippery slope of just coming apart at the seams.
I also learned from a video posted today, that in 1995, a Macintosh clone, could have up to 1GB of RAM (may not be an interesting factoid for most, but for a technerd like me, that's just WOW).
In reply to Azryael :
In roughly 1996, for Christmas, I bought my mom 4 megabytes of memory.
It was 36 discrete chips that I paid $160 for at a discount computer shop.
1gb of memory would have been insane in 1995. There were 1000 megabyte hard drives just coming on the market that cost over $2000.
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
Interestingly, my IBM Thinkpad 770 has a 4GB hard drive, encased in the strangest enclosure I've ever seen for a laptop drive.
I've actually been looking for a RAM kit for my TRS-80 to go from 16K to 48K, but I've had very little luck, and even the TRS-80 fan site provides little to no info on what chips I'd need.

In 1987 I paid about $1100 for a 100mb hard drive, which was the largest available to the consumer.
In reply to Duke :
Yup! It was a Power Computing machine that I had learned was capable of utilizing that much RAM! More than what Apple had on offer.
