Today I learned Hardee's has a new garlic bread thickburger and garlic cheese fries. I also learned that they suck and they're not worth the $10 that they cost

Thanks for the heads up on that, was probably gonna go try those soon. Now I know not to bother.
goddamn, $10 for a fast-food burger and fries?!?! i'll go to Kroger and get a $7 rotisserie chicken...
In reply to Stampie :
Yup. And gas station sushi!
So if i say its bad, its REALLY BAD.
My measure of good, however, can be questionable.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
You can have the gas station sushi. I draw my line at sketchy Chinese buffet sushi.
Anybody that thinks that properly made gas station hot dogs are bad is wrong.
I already posted in the minor rant thread, and it was yesterday, but TIL that my well may be radioactive.
The labs listed on the website apparently have their phones off of the hook, I had to drive down to the local one to find out that the test kits are already all gone, and there is a minimum 15 day lead time to get the results back.
I've been drinking this water for years and years, so the damage is probably already done if it is contaminated. We're still on bottled water for the near future, though.
In reply to Brett_Murphy :
Can i have a glass of your water tomorrow when im in Raleigh? I want to glow in the dark!!!!
TIL Johnathon Ward turned down a client who wanted him to build his PT Cruiser. It was apparently going to be a blank check sort of deal. I have questions and would really like to meet that individual that made that request.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
Let's meet somewhere that isn't radioactive. I may also have two Miata parts for you.

Johnathan Ward is a fascinating dude to listen to. I love when he is on Hoonigans
TIL modern skidsteer controls are much more sensitive than I remember.
TIR (Today I Remembered) that PIO, pilot induced oscillations, are completely possible in a modern skidsteer.
Ow.

Don't ever eat sushi from the gas station across from SeaWorld. I didn't know it was possible to create that kind of velocity from both ends at the same time.
TIL that I’m excited to be visiting my son in Boston and excited to squeeze in Fenway but I’ve learned a few things. Maybe the confession page?
1. This was the third time I’ve walked the Freedom Trail since 1988. I never need to do this again.
2. I was excited to tour Fenway earlier today but after spending 20 minutes in a seat I’m not going to sit for a game and not fidget for three hours.
3. After leaving Boston at the end of the day yesterday I’m glad I didn’t go see the White Sox lose last night and have to fight my way on to the metro train.
4. Headed over to Nantucket tomorrow for more annoyances.

Cute and fuzzy bunnies?

That bit was from the most recent smoking tire podcast with John. I like how everytime he talks about his business he's consistently amazed it's still working and he gets to build crazy stuff and get paid for it.
TIL Ben Ferencz was one of the two prosecutors from the Nuremburg Trails, and he is still alive and well.
Prosecuting Evil on Netflix.

Over the past 10 days or so, I learned:
A 1998 Lincoln Town Car gets pretty decent MPG at 75 mph; above 80 is where it starts to suffer.
Gravel roads are friggin' sweet.
Tires can and will defy your expectations. I have no idea how this thing didn't explode...it did vibrate like hell though. (Related: I learned that bald snow tires combined with damp roads can make for some sweet low-speed hooning.)
