Most shocking part - 4 car garage
The only thing that comes to mind is, ostentatious
It doesn't look like a home at all to me. Pass at half the price.
The brown on brown in brown with a splash grey just drowns out all the architectural and structural beauty. Only room that I could tell was something different was the bowling alley.

When friends post listings of giant dream houses I think these people must love dusting and sweeping.

419 acres does tend to skew those numbers a bit.

Yeah, my first thought was it was ridiculously overpriced, especially for Columbus Indiana. But I think it's fair, considering it is a gigantic hunting preserve. There should be a business opportunity with it.
The biggest problem with the price is finding someone who can afford that who wants to live in Columbus.
That aquarium is bad ass. Being able to catch fish from the backyard to put into it is even more bad ass.
I'd want to lighten the colors of the bathroom, and remove the taxidermy, otherwise I could roll with it. A basement with a casino, bar, world's greatest tiger woods golf video game setup, pool hall and bowling alley works. I'd properly want an outdoor hottub somewhere.
Enough land to put a giant workshop and garage, and to put in a rallysprint park and mini road course...
Taxes are $40k/year, and who knows how much maintenance will be (including salaries of full time staff.)

Good rule of thumb is 3-4% of house value should be budgeted for annual upkeep to maintain market value. Obviously far less than that for land alone.
edit: nice place.
You guys wanna come over for a poker/bowling night? I guess we could do blackjack too, but I'd have to hire another dealer...

Cummins is HQ'd in Columbus. Some of their top management does well enough to swing a place like that. And it's about 50min from downtown Indianapolis and 70min from Louisville too which expands the pool a bit for high profile white collar types, professional athletes, and wealthy motorsports businesspeople.
The road it's on would be a pretty cool hillclimb venue. As for the house itself, the wall in the bar is the only part that really does it for me:

There's a decent sized pole barn on the property where he keeps a lot of his former cars:
Beyond my sphere of comprehension but I don't know how you build that - so personalized - and then move. Like, what di you do next?
A few questions:
- It's pictured with a lot of his stuff in it - but will the buyer get that stuff? The helmet wall in the bar wouldn't be as cool with just a bunch of empty display cases and no Indy Car.
- I respect timber frames for their meshing traditional and non-traditional building styles, but I'd hate to live in one.
- I'm surprised he didn't go one step further and make his indoor stream/tank setup into a "all natural" swimming pool.
- Not having a test track on the property is a real let down.
