Haven't seen any mention of this new show on Velocity. Maybe I was the only one that watched.

If so, I'll save you the bother.

One word: Yawn.

Pretty much a 20 minute commercial for Autoweek (I'm not counting the other commercials). They tried dressing it up with one of those spokesmodel types that knows nothing about cars, and she certainly didn't make it worth watching.

Dutch Mandel needs to stay off camera. I've seen him try to do TV before, but he just doesn't have the personality for it. Hire Alain de Cadenet or someone else that has a knack for it, fer chrissakes!

What is the show about exactly? Vinsetta Garage is actually about 1/2 mile away from me, last I heard the guy buying it was turning it into a restaurant. Sounds to me like he just wanted to own it, and now can't figure out what to do with it. Sounds like he has too much money and not enough sense to throw at the project too.

I had it sitting on the Tivo. Watched it tonight. Seemed like they were trying to prove they were "car guys" way too hard. Was having the opposite effect. I might give it one more episode.

I haven't seen it, but I think that the spokesmodel might be Courtney Hansen, who may actually know a bit about cars. I fear, though, that she may be nearing her expiration date in spokesmodel years.

She's still unbelievably sexy though. There's something about her that just does it for me.

She's probably the only reason I'll watch the show--well, Chasing Classic Cars and Wheeler Dealers appear to be done for the season, so I need to watch SOMETHING.

It is very self-congratulatory, though. I got the impression that when they showed their staff talking about cars, some of them seemed to know nothing about the subject. I'm a good writer and know a decent amount about cars--please hire me to work there.
