My wife left the sunroof on her new Subaru CrossTrek open and it rained.  I had a fan in the car trying to dry it out and when I went out to check  everything was lit up. I had to disconnect the battery because the car was pulsing under the hood all and wouldn’t shut off properly. surprise

My sister had a 6 month old CrossTrek in Tahoe, Snow slid off the roof of the house, broke through the windshield and the insurance company totaled it.sad

Sounds ominous, but if you leave the battery disconnected and get it dry as soon as possible, there may be hope.

Put the car in a bowl of rice.  Worked for my phone!

It may well be that filling the car with rice would help to dry it out, but A) that's a lot of rice and B) it would be a pain to clean up. laugh

Remove floor mats.  How wet is the carpet?  Wet enough to vacuum water out with a wet/dry vac?  Was it a passing shower or an inch of rain?

Remove everything you can, get a dehumidifier in there some how.

Dry it out, then sell it to Carvana

Can't remember if there is a module under one of the seats. Might be.

I would bet money on it.  Located at the absolute lowest point of the floor.
