Annie and I were at Tutto Italiano at Larz Anderson Museum last Sunday. We were looking at a DeTomasso Pantera while this song was playing over the loudspeakers. Beautiful day. Beautiful moment. Beautiful car. I was in my glory. We listen to Louie Prima at home often, so hearing this music while we were viewing beautiful Italian cars was a phenominal point in time.
Zoomba, Zoomba Baccala
The lead singer (Mlny Parsonz) has an incredible voice. They are kinda bluesy, folksy metal? Kinda hard to categorize but damn, I was hooked the second I heard her voice. This song is a bit different than the rest of the album.
Russian Circles - Station
Ran across this while surfing Youtube links. Pretty darn good post-rock instrumental stuff, which I've been listening to a lot of lately.
No apologies. Safe for work. No language or nudity beyond coverage the average tourist seems to be wearing nowadays.
Found some great stuff from LORN recently. Make sure you have good quality sound with healthy low range for this:
Warning: the following animated music video gets a bit sexual for a moment so you probably don't want anyone to catch you watching it:
On my Spotify shuffle is America by Motionless In White.
Actually fairly heavy lyrical content in it
Mark Knopfler
Well, not exactly at the moment, but my son and I saw him perform live about 12 hours ago at Foxwoods in CT. Great, great show. We had front row center stage seats. It was fantastic! Mark is around my age (geezer status) but is still a spectacular performer, and his backup band was great. This was the first stop of his current "Down the Road Wherever" US tour. If you're a fan, try to see him during the next few weeks. Definitely worth the price of admission (not cheap).
Last week at this very time, with my son, I was enjoying Mark Knopfler live in concert at Foxwoods. Front row, center stage. Awesome. But he didn't play this song. That's OK. He played two hours of spectacular music.
This is such a great song.
"Euge Groove" ... aka Eugene Grove. I think that's a brilliant performance name for this excellent sax jazz man. I love his work.
