And now for something completely different: Italian nuovo-jazz big beat. This whole album is very cinematic:

FZ has been known to play all the instruments on some of his studio stuff, and as I was looking for one of those songs I came across this show. It's from the same tour, and about 3 weeks before the Bongo Fury album was recorded. That's been my favourite Zappa album since the 70's .
With an FZ show you never know what you're going to get, but on this one they were on, and he was definitely in the mood to play.
I wish I could convert it to MP3, but I think it's too long for the online converters I've been using. It's a fantastic show and perfect shop music
Youtube Downloader can easily do it. It saves the video as an mpeg file, and mp3 is literally just the audio track.
If you have the Pro version, you can download and convert in one step.
I've been feeling old-school lately and thus have been running my iPhone shuffling its internal library of music instead of streaming things from Amazon Music Unlimited, and yesterday ELO's "From The End Of The World" came up and got stuck in my head- so today I've been listening through 'Time', which is still one of my favorite albums.

That was really good. The song that came after it is going on my play list.
I have some Robben Ford somewhere in the Box O CD's and I'm going to dig it out today

Dude is a surprisingly adaptive artist. Also apparently has a house just a couple miles from me. I ever see him in the store I'll see if I can talk him into a jam session.
as for me right now, 2112. Also Hemispheres. RIP, Mr. Peart.

Thanks.
They used to play Overture / Temples of Syrinx about once every two or three months on the local hard rock station, before they went to a 90% talk format. It blew my mind enough to look for it online, the pure energy going on in there is intoxicating.
Of course, I found a lot of covers.
Somehow (I have no idea how given I hadn't heard it for quite a while) I got '25 or 6 to 4' stuck in my head this morning, so pulled up and have been listening to The Very Best of Chicago on Amazon Music.
