Cool older stuff here from Italian duo The Dining Rooms. Unfortunately, they seem pretty inactive at this point.
An old Brian Eno / David Byrne collaboration from the early '80s. They took a bunch of found-object audio recordings, manipulated them to greater or lesser extents, and wrote backing tracks to them. This one is my favorite, but there is a lot of good stuff on this album:
Video unavailable. What song is it?
Been listening to a lot of older stuff lately
Probably followed by some of this
In reply to Mr. Peabody :
Me?
The song I linked is "Regiment" from My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts by Brian Eno and David Byrne.
In reply to Duke :
That was good. Still listening to the album.
My son dropped off a CD with this on it, I've been listening to it on my commute all weekend. Solid groove
In reply to Mr. Peabody :
Yeah, the New Mastersounds are great.
My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts was recorded between Talking Heads' Fear Of Music and Remain In Light, and it sounds like it. The 'Regiment' track has Fripp on guitar and the bass is by a guy named Michael Jones, who played with a couple art-rock bands but unfortunately died pretty young.
