We bought a new Ikea kitchen on Thursday. The best gift is the arrival of our kids for a week on Sunday.
We just dropped almost 3 sets of Hoosiers (racer household major financial increment) on the renovation ingredients so we were keeping Xmas light this year.
Mrs. Motomoron got me a bottle of very fancy Ardbeg scotch - I just finished off the first limited bottling she'd gotten me a while back:
And while she never buys race car stuff, she was in American Apparel (going out of business sale) and got me some new brake fluid absorbers. (The car has 3 of those those tiny Wilwood masters w/ integrated reservoirs. Per 70's road race motorcycle style I put terrycloth stretch wristbands on them to keep the mess down)
They're a pattern that will bring a little diversity to the paddock:
I got somw JBL Bluetooth sport (read:waterproof) earbuds from my parents as well as some more work out shirts. Seemed to be a popular theme between my birthday (22nd) and Christmas
At the inlaw's I also received $50 Best Buy card. It will probably go towards a second ps4 controller.
Got a shirt, some cologne, and half-off a supercar track day type thing with a Radical SR3, so I'm gonna spend the next couple days practicing in the simulator. BTW, if you ever want to cure yourself of wanting to own that car, read page 17 of the manual
This is by far the neatest gift I received this year:
I've been flying it around all day here at the office between calls.

Thanks for taking your son out. It's always fun to have little kids wave and being enthusiastic like that. My niece and nephew love the garbage men and are standing in their bay window on garbage morning. If they aren't waiting in the window the garbage men hit the air horn to and wait a minute for them before picking up.
My brother in law got a selfie stick, a gift he neither wanted or needed. After making the giver explain what it was and did he spent the day taking pics with it. He held his phone behind him and took pics of the back of his head and over his shoulder to let people see Christmas from his viewpoint. It was driving our mother in law crazy.

The stringed instrument. Turns out they only have 4 strings, but there is really 8. So, it is more like a double ukulele than a guitar. Didn't know there was a mandolin food cutter.

do you play ? bluegrass ?
we've got at least one on here that belongs to a Bluegrass band
Got a 1970 Chevy Nova SS with a 375hp 396 for Christmas. I'm so lucky!
Here it is parked next to the workshop in the back yard:

Yup, BNF ftw. Ive got a dx6i. Im not 3Ding it yet cause I'm very rusty with helis, it's been a year at least since I flew.
I really pulled one over on Santa, there's no way I was this good. Between SWMBO, and our families, I made out like a bandit.
Got a really nice Cuisinart food processor from my brother. The wife got me a variety of things like shirts and normal "wife" stuff. My gift to myself was my Harbor Freight workbench and some garage organizing.

Next time photoshop out the fingers!
I got some Star Wars shirts, a ton of chocolates and other food, a really cool roll of reusable tape that has a road pattern on it, and a new set of valve covers for the Javelin.

Mandolin is just a hand held food slicer. Probably have one in the kitchen and didn't realize they are called Mandolins. Learned it myself last month when SWMBO, mom and the daughters were talking cooking. SWMBO bought the daughters each one.
I got a 55" ROKU TV. Working on getting rid of cable TV. Have basic expanded and only watch about a half dozen channels a hour or two a day. Maybe. The channels I do watch don't come with basic and basic expanded costs about $150 a month. Could pay a couple internet TV subscriptions and still be way less. Was happy with the 32" LCD but SWMBO wanted a big screen in the living room and she doesn't even watch TV. She got the 32" LCD hooked to her computer now to watch her Korean TV over the internet. Which means I know have her old 25" TV/monitor hooked to my computer. Not sure how long I'm keeping it though as it doesn't have the clarity/pixels as my 19" monitor does.
She also said the 2016 Toyota Tacoma we bought at T-giving is my Xmas present too.
