I just booked a suite for my friends bachelor party. As of now, I booked only 1 suite as a place keeper until we decide what we really want to do as far as 1 room or 2 rooms. Would a hotel give a damn if we pile a bunch of people in there? We honestly won't be in the room very long, mostly out and about.

Likely depends on the hotel. Back when I was a bit younger and cheaper when I went to conventions I'd room with as many people as we could pack into a hotel room- like 6-7 in a two-double-bed room. I doubt that they're going to blink much at 8 people in a suite...

Just don't have all the people present at the front desk when you check in and keep it all on the DL.
If the cops are called or "hotel security" has to come to your room for things like being loud, only then will some explaining be needed.
You will likely only be supplied with towels for 4 people. More can be gotten but also do not let this request draw attention to you. If the hotel has a pool, there are often towels available out near the pool. Go there to get your extra towels yourself without having to involve the staff.

Typically that would depend mostly on how much attention you draw to yourselves from the neighboring rooms.

We did this all the time at Hobie regattas. As long as you don't bother other rooms there will usually be no issues. Just make sure everyone is not visible when you call and ask room service for "extra" towels.

hotels in places like NOLA or Vegas tend to want a bit more money for more than 2 people in rooms, and limit it to 4-6 people max. if you don't tell them you have more than the two people in the room they can kick you out if they catch you. if you're not going to either of those places as long as you're not making problems and not making it completely obvious they probably won't care.

Depending on who it is, I'd have no problems with it. But I call dibs on the bed, and I sleep naked.

8 people... it will smell like ass in there in 30 minutes.

You can run into fire code issues if they figure out what's going on. This really just limits their flexibility on looking the other way. Just be quiet and you'll be cool.

So while you need an airtight alibi, you do not need an airtight room.

Kinda what I figured, thanks for the heads up! Most of the time we will be out and about, otherwise at the pool. And it's only for 1 night.

Bring your sleeping bag and a cot, so you don't have to steal the couch cushions from the lobby to keep from sleeping on the floor.

Could you book two adjacent suites, and tell the other guys not to be such cheap bastards and pitch in for the room?

You'll need to log in to post.
