The requirement for 20A service by itself is a problem for now. At least until the garage with gym is built.

I may just find a cheap on FB Marketplace for now and use it til it get annoying or breaks and upgrade then.

Some folks claim you can cheat on the 20A requirement with a cheater plug or wiring in a 20A style outlet into a 15A circuit,  Neither is suggested but I am told it does work.  If you are not a 350lb linebacker running marathons at 15% incline you SHOULD be OK but not promises.  If I had to pick I would go with a cheater plug as at least that isnt a permanent bad mod,

Don't forget that even some of the NordicTrack units need a 20A service and unless you have some funny math there is no way you can get over around 1.5HP out of a standard 15A/120V outlet.

Most brands have a way for you to display the hours/miles on the treadmill.  Just something to be aware of if you look at a used one.

Apparently the newer models require a paid subscription to their app for the treadmill to function after the free-trial period is over. I'm pretty sure all ProForm are that way & I think the Nordic Trac too. It looked like it also applied to spin bikes & other equipment.

Instead of buying one- download the "Freebie Alerts" app and make sure you have a facebook and/or nextdoor account. I've seen two free ones (claimed working) appear in my city in the past week.

Zombie thread, but....

You've got to be careful.  Some of them have a definite mean streak and they can hurt you.
