You guys voted and here it is! a special exclusive to GRM first listen to Interstellar Sledgehammer.
The disclaimer is this: this is a rough recording. It's unmixed, this is exactly how we sound when you put us in a small room with a Q3 simple recorder. You'll hear mistakes, you'll hear me directing the band to start each new section since we haven't really played it much at this point. You'll barely get the hear the bitchin distorted organ at the end but if you saw me talking about the coolest weird cymbal on here.....it's every ride cymbal sound here.
This is the old drummer so one day it'll sound a bit different but it'll be awhile. Our bass player is very sick and I can't try out drummers any day soon, so enjoy this until I get a better recording.

Dude! For a “rough” recording that sounds pretty darn good. I really liked the soloing from around 3:00 to 4:40 or so. You kids got game I think!
The banner ad at the top of the forum page is glorious-well done guys.

YES.
The banner ad got me to the FB page yesterday, and I did all my Interstellar Sledgehammer homework last night on GRM. Thanks for the upload!
That sounds ABSO-berkeleyING-LUTELY AMAZING!!!!!
Nice! Reminds me of early Black Sabbath with a hint of Man Or Astro-man. Well done guys! \m/
Wow, I'm impressed! Thank you for sharing
The guitar in the solo at around 3:00 has a really good sound.
I mean, it all sounds pretty good, given your disclaimer, but the tone on the guitar just hit me right.
That was great! Thank you
I could jam on this a lot. Rad stuff. Y'all get any gigs in the southwest lemme know.

Thank you. I'm pretty proud of how that sound is, it's a high gain Marshall clean channel and a cheap weird guitar I use with a verbzilla for massive reverb. None of that is usually keys to success for a cool clean guitar lead tone lol

Black Sabbath is universally liked by all of us so it's definitely common ground.
I'm glad you liked it!

I'm glad you liked it, it's nice to know that we made an impact even if it wasn't a polished track
You said you're looking for a drummer- where are you located? Because I can totally play what I just heard...

He's totally close enough for you. In fact, if he ever needs a bassist maybe we can find someplace conveniently in the middle to practice - like Keith's place in Colorado...
I would 100% invite Interstellar Sledgehammer to play in my living room. I want to make a documentary on something just to use this for the moody driving through the desert shots.
Yaaasssss.
I hear a teeny bit of The Doors, a little Edgar Winter, and ZERO Pink Floyd... which is a very good thing.
Great trip on the mixed rhythm in the B-section.

We are definitely looking for a drummer, we are in northern Idaho though. Hopefully you are close by
