Howdy folks.  Long time no see.  I've recently acquired yet another AW11 MR2.  This time a 88 SC model in flawless condition. Despite being in great shape there are of course, a few things I need to do to it so that that the power matches the handling.  As the title state I am looking for some new or lightly used TRD headers and b-pipe or something similar.  Some decent struts like Koni or Tokico adjustables would work.  TRD or Eibach springs or something equivalent.  Same goes with the sway bars.

And finally there are a few vanity pieces I'd like to have.  An 89 led rear spoiler and I'm missing the outside center black trim piece that goes on the roof and covers the attachment points for the clear visor.

If you have any info on where to find these parts please let me know.  I'm not a low baller.

Regards,

John

If you owned one before, then you must be familiar with twosrus.  They have Koni struts available.

I loved my '88 MR2 SC

Protect your rear axles!  When I sold my SC back in '00 it was then very hard to get proper replacement rear CV/axles.  All the stronger SC axles had been gobbled up by NA owners who were converting to turbo or SC swap.  I can not imagine that availability has improved.

I do have a led spoiler.  It is white (with a somewhat crappy repaint) and it is attached to a full trunk lid.  Shipping is not cheap, either with the full trunk lid or not.  It's dimensions cause it to be "oversized" even if just the spoiler

Located in Sandusky, OH 44870 if you want to research shipping.

I sold my SC under the duress of unemployment back in '00.  I always hoped to get another and as such have held onto an interesting cache of trim parts.  As an example I have two very good black radio surrounds for '87-'89 MR2.  Back in '00 these sold for $50-$100 -- really.

I have a spare HVAC controls stored in a zip lock bag to keep dust out

A spare working factory radio stored in a zip lock bag to keep dust out

Side vent with the critical mounting bracket

Rear trunk trim

'87-'89 tail lights and center panel

Some other small bits like that s shaped black trim where the t-top pins slid into the body and light and wiper knobs.

Tell me what interests you and I will work up some prices.  I confess that I can not be cheap about the prices.

jwelsh02...yahoo...

Sadly, even back then, I could not source a second set of axles.  When I sold my car I included the spare AC compressor (which is in a different location than NA version.)  I think the alternator is different too and I may have included one of those too.

My '88 was red with crank windows.  I sold it out of Ohio to a guy who flew in from St Loius.  I seem to remeber the car had about 88k miles.  I lost track of the car.  I think you are in Tulsa.  It is possible that my St. Louis car went to Tulsa???

Yup, been a long time buyer from David.  I bought my first MR2 in 98 and I still have it.  I have Koni and TRD springs on my  87 and while I love them that combo ends up costing the same as as new set of BC Coilovers which include camber hats.  Not sure how I feel about BC as a brand but they're prices are pretty good.

Nothing parts wise has improved.  Even simple things like alternators and voltage regulators are no longer made.

I would be interested in your led spoiler.  I have one on my 87 and it makes a total difference in appearance.  My red 88 SC came from OK, then went to FL with my godfather.  He finally sold it to me and I drove to to Tulsa from Daytona.  I have power windows though.  Wish I didn't--I didn't even know you could get a SC without power windows.  Sadly,  the driver's side window switch is the one interior item that  doesn't fit properly.  Everything else is pretty mint.

Here's some pics of the collection.

no mystery...  I used the intake cam from set 7105137, and the exhaust cam from 7105138

and the head was built specifically for the goal of braking 200whp with an SC12 supercharger

Can you still source these cams and what would be the cost?  Would they run with nothing upgraded electronics wise except for a tuneup and gruntbox at 12psi?

And again,  loved to have a header guys...struts, springs,  sway bars.  Help a brother on a budget.

John

no problem as to being able to acquire you a set.  Cost is $650 + freight charges (about $65.00)

They are quite a bit longer duration then a stock cam is - stock 232 overall duration, 198@ .050", with 7.1mm lift, these are 262 overall, 230@ .050".   They will not likely perform as you would like.

Why?  Your engine's compression is 8.0:1, the above 4AGZE engine's compression is 9.6:1.  That difference "allowed" my client to run the longer duration cam,

BUT....  Cat's smallest cam might just work.   I've previously sold their 244 cam (244 overall 214@.050") and they were "plug n play".  They add 1mm of lift too.

The 7105136 cams?  Are those the same price as the 7105137s?
