I was trying to post a link to my latest video last night and for some reason, the media embed code always comes back with "Failed to fetch content for the given URL" or a message to that effect. The video is definitely public and embeds fine at other places like FB.

Just tried this again this morning, same error message.

Thanks, Tom. First time I've run into this problem, so I was a little surprised.

Also, not clear why I posted this in Sims, this was supposed to go into off topic. Sorry.

Looks like we found the problem, Tim. The original link was redirecting to the real YouTube link. After clicking it, then copy/pasting from my address bar, the embed is working correctly.

Thanks Tom. That's an interesting issue - the link I used was the "shareable link" that YouTube gives me, and using that type of link on here has definitely worked in the past. Not sure if something has changed at the YouTube end, but now that I know what the problem is, I can worked around it.
