Air you should have some excellent replays to make Video from. I am going to look at the OBS stuff and see if there is any thing film worthy.

Here are the results and standings:

The points race is getting interesting.  Clearly the HC is starting to hit, and it seems to be keeping the top three close (Sauce picking up 2, Darwin picking up 1 and Dean loosing one).  There seems to be a middle 3 and lower 3 also, but I suspect Slowbird might make a run for the top and Drillin's finish in this last race seems to indicate he will be moving up.

I would have had a much better finish in the second race had it not been for a minor off-track excursion into the wheat fields in the center of the track.  When I came back on I did not know where I was on the track.  Could have MAYBE had 2nd in the 2nd race had I been able to hold off Sauce.

Oh and Air took a mulligan after the race and ended up with one of the remaining Porsche 911's that had not been picked yet.  That will be a far better car for the remaining tracks in the series.

The cars Sauce and Pro have will also be much better in the remaining tracks.

While the Corvette is definitely going to be out of its element in the upcoming races I will most likely stick with it.  I think I am stuck with it as I am still in the top 3 in points.

Just out of curiosity what would the event tally have been if I was 2nd in the 2nd race in front of Sauce?

So both Sauce and Pro get 1st and 3rd place finishes and I would get 2 2nd place finishes.

You would have been 2nd behind Sauce and would have been at a 3 HC instead at a 1.   I think you did OK.

I see the Full version of Riverside as the appropriate track.  Still plenty of twisties, but it might be the longest straight in this series.  It would be fun if someone did a version with the original final turn, which was very tight, and very deadly.

First we have to get through Sebring. This is a tough track!!!

Air that was your best one yet!!!!  If we could add in commentary (like a live race announcer type thing).  But that was some great editing and the racing was really close!!!!

Looking at that race again I did not realize just how much I am  drifting (old school bias ply tires drifting) that corvette through the  corners

That track has some good track camera options, so I used those.  The fact that the track is effectively a big circle helps a lot.

I noticed all the sliding also.  There was a fair amount of hitting of Porsches which was interesting.  A pretty dynamic race in general.  With the new HC's Sebring should be fun.  Hopefully I can get up to speed on the 911 enough to be competitive since it should be pretty fast there.

Looking at the vid I thought Sauce hit me from behind I did not know he had a quarter panel up on me going in to that corner. My problem is unless I know you are there I am usually fully committed to a corner in the corvette making adjustments mid corner virtually impossible.  The short of it is it was a late move but had I known he was there I  probably would had an off anyway as I would have missed the corner exit. That was much more of a racing thing than what I thought it was.

Sauce and I have had some great racing at the  last couple of tracks with the corvette having the high speed advantage. Sebring has quite a few slow speed tight corners that I think are going to show it's weak side. Yes it is fast in the straits but it needs to be able to carry the speed through corners. Goodwood was a perfect track for it.

A point of reference; I tested last night and was lapping consistently in the 2:23s.  at seabring.

Yeah, basically when you got a little grass/loose it opened enough of a gap that I thought I could stick my nose in just enough to get you to compromise your entry slightly, and then with my cars much superior braking pull back out of it.  Given the nature of the corner that would give me a good chance to make the pass at corner exit or into the following turn.  Unfortunately I outbraked myself and couldn't pull it back in time, and even if you had compromised your entry I don't think we could have avoided contact.  Close to a racing incident, but it was 100% on me getting it wrong under braking.

The 911 was not super competitive on that course.  Starting in the lead and letting everyone else run into each other helped a lot though!  We will see about Riverside.  Seems like there is more potential to be competitive there, especially with all the HC's.

Results and Standings:  It's getting pretty interesting.   Three way HC tie.  VERY close for the top 4.  The big news.....

.... Sauce is eligible for a car swap, if he wants!  (Dean and Darwin are locked out currently)

2 more races (Riverside then Bridgehampton)

Hmmm, that does bring up the issue of loosing HC for a no show, which seems reasonable since you will get no points.  Almost certainly puts you out of the a series win potential but probably in a good position for a win in the final race.

eh whatever, lets not change rules on the fly.  We can agree on what works best for the next series.

I would vote that yes you should lose 1 HC even for a no show.  Unless we are allowing x # of drops, in which case we should look at it in a bit more detail

In previous series  a missed race does not change your HC.
