I'm finally getting back to getting started in Sim racing. I recently picked up an Open Wheeler seat.

I got it off of Shopgoodwill for $25 but was pick up only. The other parts I've got to add to the rig are a Fanatec Forza wheel and Club Sport Pedals. I also have a Buttshaker to add to the build. My initial plans are to use Forza 4 on a XBone 360.
Once I get the system figured out, I'd like to step up to a better system. I'm not sure if I want to go with a console or a Windows box. I'm mainly Mac user but have a couple of PCs collecting dust but lacking monitors.
Suggestions on my next step after I get the basic system created?
PS4 + Project Cars 2 and come race with us on Wednesdays?

A thought.....I need to figure out how to connect the Fanatec gear to the PS4.
We have several people racing with us using the Fanatec wheel with the ps4.

It would be cool to have you join us on PC2 on PS4.
Argo uses a Fantec with his PS4. He uses the Drivehub adapter.

If you don’t already have the wheel and pedals, Fanatec does make a PS4 compatible wheel so you wouldn’t have to mess with the drive hub.

The pro will have a bit better performance and it supports 4K and HDR. If you don’t have a 4K TV and want to save a bit the slim should be fine. I think at least a few in our league run an original (same as the slim).

I don’t think I have a pro, but I do have one with Darth Vader on the case.
I have both a pro and the original ps4 and I really don’t see a difference between them. I did upgrade my regular one to a ssd and that did help load times and start up times a bit. I use the plus on a plasma tv but it is not 4K.
