Maybe thats why people keep calling me N Sperio.
In reply to N Sperlo:
Just working, but it seems like I only get to play a few times a week anymore.
It was good times this donalson! Just need to smooth that thumb out. Also maybe play around with customizing the controls a bit. Next time I'll try and help you out a bit more if I can.
@Racer1ab I'm in the same boat. Only get to play a few times a week.
What do you guys usually run when you're online? Do I need to build up a couple specific cars or is nearly anything I have workable?
I've got a lot of crazy cars if that helps.

Problem with that is there's only one car to have. The Lotus Elan is way too fast for everything else.
I'd love to get the band back together. Any series would be fun...besides, we've gotta get ready for FM4!

Yeah? I thought it was the Alfa.
I dont remember anyone using the Elan... Wouldnt it be too new? And in the end, a little handicap can work.
How the hell do they get Top Times on these tracks?!?! I know Rd Atl like the back of my hand and I'm still ranked somewhere in the 2,000s! I mean, they are a good 4 seconds quicker than I am and Im 10/10ths the whole way!

As close to simulation as it is, its still a game. I have seen people modify cars the exact same way and it works perfect every time. He told me how, but i consider it cheating, so I didn't bother rolling with it. He ran against my 280z I was using and blew it away with the same car.

The spec series was good for folks who didn't want to spend a lot of time tuning - the miata specs and ITRs were both fun. If I remember, the dino was pretty good on long tracks for pre 75

lol and here I am please just being in the top 30% or so (i'm 16% in one of the C classes as I recall was shocked...)...
then again my stick control is pretty all over the place... but how fast some of these/you guys are is just silly :)
I'm ranked 193 overall in the Circuit Leaderboard right now, out of almost 4.2 million players, and that's trying to use anything but a leaderboard car.
Most of the guys in the top 100 are exploiting the very limited physics engine and using set-ups that would NEVER work in real life. And by converting cars to AWD that can be converted. Adding AWD to cars in the game actually LOWERS the P.I., allowing you to add power to a car that already improved dramatically with the AWD conversion.
You can learn a lot if you can stay close to racerfink for a few corners. Smooth and fast exit speeds. Unfortunately that's usually only for a corner or two before he's gone.
Anybody gonna be on today? I'm watching the ALMS qualifying over the 360 right now, but I'll be on Forza quite a bit the rest of the day.
I'm really hoping I land this new job, because I'd get a big pay bump and a chance to spend some time online racing with you guys! Perhaps a house and racing mancave if things pan out by next year???
Back to the salt mines...le sigh...
Well, i did it.
Turned Traction, ABS off, the whole setup is done. Went and did Road Atlanta in the Mosler, in the Top 1%!! In R2 as well....

Not only do they do the driveline conversions, but they also leave the "suggested line" on. They don't look for markers like you'd do if you were really racing, they just look at the plot in front of them. Reason I quit running in F3 online lobbies (except for the League, of course) was because I couldn't turn the damn thing off like I could in F2.
