World of Warships

I just saw an ad on TV for it. Anyone playing it?

Damn it's PC only, hope they can make it for the consoles.

There's no way it could be more frustrating than WOT, right?

I tried it once. It was pretty decent, I've been meaning to give it another go.

Kazoo Jr. plays. Seems like he likes it a little better than WOT. I think its still in beta testing right now. It doesn't seem to rely as much on the "spotting" dynamic, which is a positive in my book. I have actually been trying to spend less time in general on video games, so I've left it alone thus far.

Well I'm downloading it. I hope the laptop can keep up with it.

If anyone starts playing let me know.

Oh and if you are going to download it, once you get into the lobby screen, you're going to be waiting a while. Probably a couple hours for it to do all it's updates.

Going on 2.5 hours with the laptop hardlined to the modem. Still pulling 60Mbps on the down, so the servers must be slow.

Reminds me of logging on to WoT when you haven't been on in a while.

They refused to include sub's due to the nature of them.....they didn't jive with the slugging it out factor of the game.

So I've played it and I like it. It's definitely a lot like WoT in many respects, which isn't a bad thing.

But all the destroyers have torpedoes and it is a friendly fire game, so it can get interesting.

Yea, I've watched a lot of the stuff Jingles and Baron post about it......they hate the torpedoes. Also note, you give away position when firing, and you can fire over some of the islands.

My laptop hates this game. It's constantly lagging.

Hmmm, I may have to try this WOT was cool the few times I played it, but I knew I wasn't going to put in the time to make the controls 2nd nature.

Guessing this is the same way?

Still having a hard time with the Destroyers and getting a handle on the torpedoes.

Finally got to Tier III and have been dealing with Aircraft Carriers. It definitely makes it more challenging.
