Wreckfest. The most. Important. Game. Ever.

Wreckfest is a game developed by bugbear entertainment,  known for games like flat out, Sega rally revo, and ridge racer unbound.  This game started development years ago as a tech demo called "next car game". I first caught footage of it about 4 years ago on YouTube,  and the collision and damage physics blew my simple mind. I've been patiently waiting for a console release since about 2016 when I first found it was rebranded as wreckfest. Checked recently, and its scheduled to hit xb1 November. As a giant fan of anything demolition derby related, and classic games such as destruction derby, test drive eod, and the flat out series....I'm stoked. Like it needs to be November. Screw e3, this is my grail.  Bay area buggs has been playing it since forever on PC and had piles of footage, and mostly isn't annoying. Check it out. 

I have it on my Steam wishlist. Like you said it is available now on PC in its current early access state. 

I've seen it's supposed to drop on xbone eventually. I'm definitely buying it when it does. Looks like they just made Flatout 1 again in the best way possible. 

Should be full pc release in the next week or so.

Finally watched some races on YouTube. Haven't seen the mystical harvesters, but the figure 8 and demo derby look good. 

Guess it's as close as I'll get to a new test drive: Eve of Destruction, and I'm good with that. 

Daylan- November 20th it hits console. 

Rico- I haven't seen it yet either. Up until now, every single video out there has been early access/beta. I imagine as it goes full release, we will see the mythical combine. 

Do I smell GRM combine racing league? 

I'm hoping for school bus figure 8 and demo derby myself.

Spec combine could be fun though

We'll run it like a triathalon.

It may have been a mod, or something not yet acknowledged,  but I have seen footage of school bus racing. 

I would be 40000% in on a grm demo derby league. 

I saw lawn mower demo derby in career mode.

I'm more than likely in. Saw some ads for it on the BaceFook and YouTube, and reminds me a lot of the old Destruction Derby games which I thought were awesome. It better have some good online!

Super noob question: Can you mix console and PC for the league?

Don't know yet. Maybe. Microsoft has been really friendly with cross play lately, but not sure if the company behind the game is up for it.

That out of the way, here are some highlights from the launch update:

• Four new challenge vehicles including a Harvester and a School Bus!
• New fun customization parts as well as wicked paint jobs for all vehicles.
• Updated career progress with new unlocks, car rewards & challenge events.
• Overhauled user interface and art for many screens.
• New Countryside Demolition Arena.
• New rocking songs and in-game music.
• An EPIC amount of improvements and fixes.

I forgot what whiny little E36 M3s steam commentators are but damn happy to see it.now only 5 more months till console release.

Wonder if my laptop will run it...

I'm thinking the same thing. I'd buy it twice. I have enough xb1 controllers to leave one for the laptop. 

As someone who preordered Test Drive: Eve of Destruction, I'll be all over this game. It looks great!

I had Flatout and Flatout 2 for the OG Xbox, but I found them unbalanced and sometimes frustrating, but they were still pretty fun. This should be good.

EDIT: I just noticed that there are 2nd Gen Trans Ams.

Once the XB1 version comes out, I'll pick it up for sure. I don't think I have a PC that can run this (or any other recent games for that matter) otherwise I'd be all over it!

Yeah, I'm waiting for xb1. My gaming laptop is several years old and mostly broken.
