Mrs Frog and I attended the first Amelia Island concours 26 years ago. I've taken the grandsons to a few in the last decade to raise their awareness. Some locals have mentioned that there are many 'events' that are not part of the official schedule. Things like non-official car shows, pop-up events, gatherings, etc. Anybody know of any activities outside of those on the official web-site?
I know from previous experience that the spectator parking area has quite a few neat cars.
Go to the cars and coffee event on Saturday. It is free and has a ton of cool cars.
I will be there with my corvair.
The town of fernandina is great and has a ton of cool bars and restaurants.
I wanted to put the "Outlaw Bug" in the Cars and Coffee... didn't realize I needed to register by December 9th.
Don't forget Concours d'Lemons on Saturday. It's always a riot!
